Groundhogs

What Damage to groundhogs do?
Groundhogs are curious looking creatures. Cute in a way. But at night, they can cause a lot of damage to your lawn or garden. Some look for shelter and even move right in under your home or outbuildings.

What bait should I use for groundhogs?
Fresh string beans, sweet corn, lettuce, peas, cantaloupe, strawberries, cucumbers, peaches, vanilla extract.

Where should I place groundhogs traps?
Place the trap as close to the groundhogs entrance as possible. If there is more than one entrance, cover the remaining holes to force the groundhog to use the hole nearest the trap. If the groundhog is living under a deck, shed or porch, you may have to board up most of the area to force the groundhog out to a certain area. This will allow you to place the trap directly in front of the opening which will allow you to capture the animal quickly.
