JM – May 19, 2013 – Pioneer Living Store In his dissent of the 2002 Ninth Circuit court ruling that “the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution does not guarantee individuals the right to bear arms,” Judge Alex Kozinski argued with the very reasoning our founding fathers used to include it in the U.S. Constitution to begin with. It may be 10 years since the Ninth Circuit attempted to rewrite our law of the land (it was nullified by the U.S. Supreme Court), but Judge Kozinski’s views on our right to bear arms are as true to Americans today as they were over two hundred years ago when our founders argued for “The Right to Bear Arms”. Judge Kozinski’s views are from many lessons […]

According to a recent survey of individuals in over twenty countries, 15% of people worldwide believe the end of the world as we know it will happen in our lifetime. “Whether they think it will come to an end through the hands of God, or a natural disaster or a political event, whatever the reason, one in seven thinks the end of the world is coming,” said Keren Gottfried, research manager at Ipsos Global Public Affairs which conducted the poll for Reuters. “Perhaps it is because of the media attention coming from one […]

By PPRN News Staff We sometime hear of these stories of a single public employee, usually a Public Works employee who spends most sunny afternoons asleep in the city truck while on city time. The employee is fired and required to pay back his ill-gotten wages. Shame and humiliation await him at his next job, if he can find one. The Wilkes-Barre Data Operations Center (WBDOC) is the Social Security Administration?s power house of form processing and telephone service. It employs approximately 1,200 men and women from the area. Without it, beneficiaries would rarely receive benefits in a timely fashion and wait times on the telephones would exceed hours long. It is led by Operations Director Carol Truskowski, and the […]
Big Sis needs more ammunition
Posted: 17th April 2012 by Preppers in Current Events & News, Survival Gear & WeaponsBig Sis needs more ammunition – this time for training James Smith pprnnews.prepperpodcast.com April 17, 2012 The Federal Government has a hunger for tax money, resources, and ammunition. We reported that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), led by Janet Napolitano, awarded munitions manufacturer a five year contract for 450 million rounds of .40 caliber ammunition, two years after awarding Winchester munitions a five year contract for 200 million rounds .40 caliber ammunition. This last Friday, DHS officials have put a bid out for even more ammunition, this time for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). The FLETC is headquartered at Glynco, Ga., near the port city of Brunswick, halfway between Savannah, Ga., and Jacksonville, Fla. and operates two other […]
Department of Homeland Security had already ordered 200,000,000 rounds of .40 caliber
Posted: 4th April 2012 by Preppers in Current Events & News, Weapons & AmmunitionBy James Smith There are two stories that have come to light recently, the first is the awarding of a contract to a munitions manufacturer for 450,000,000 hollow point rounds for the .40 caliber. The second story which I wrote, is how the Department of Homeland Security had already ordered 200,000,000 rounds of .40 caliber, but also ordered 15,000 gun cleaning kits for the .40 caliber weapons, and has put a request out for a virtual shooting gallery for the .40 caliber handguns. 650,000,000 round of ammunition is quite a bit of lead and brass. It will sure to drive the price of copper and brass way up. But Homeland Security is not alone in their requests. The other departments, […]

Survival Foods Show #46 7:30pm EST Our feature guest Kevin D. Freeman of Freeman Global Investment Council. I have attached a PDF with Mr Freeman’s bio. Mr. Freeman was commissioned by the Pentagon in 2009 to do a study with the aim at investigating the possibility of the financial collapse of 2008 being triggered by rouge groups or nation-states. Mr. Freeman admits that he was very skeptical going into this study but has since changed that skepticism into a full-blown crusade. His study was declassified and leaked to the press earlier this year. The links to all the media coverage have been listed below. Mr. Freeman also has a blog which highlights his findings. Interestingly the Pentagon and Congress had moved to commission a second study to […]
TSA Checkpoints now on TN Highways!
Posted: 20th October 2011 by Preppers in Current Events & NewsTags: TSA Checkpoints
The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security on Tuesday partnered with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and several other federal and state agencies for a safety enforcement and awareness operation on Tennessee’s interstates and two metropolitan-area bus stations. They are randomly inspecting vehicles on highways in Tennessee. The random inspections really aren’t any more thorough normal, according to Tennessee Highway Patrol Colonel Tracy Trott who says paying attention to details can make a difference. “People generally associate the TSA with airport security…but now we have moved on to other forms of transportation, such as highways, buses and railways,” said Kevin McCarthy, TSA federal security director for West Tennessee. To increase national security, the TSA […]

Operators of electrical grids are working to avoid outages, but the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says some satellite communications and Global Positioning Systems could face problems. Three solar flares erupted on the sun starting Tuesday, and the strongest electromagnetic shocks were being felt Friday by the ACE spacecraft, a satellite that measures radiation bursts a few minutes […]
A Black Eye For Preppers

POSTED BY Permission Friday, June 10, 2011 A Black Eye For Preppers This one really get my Irish up… A prominent figure in the American prepper world has been arrested on kidnapping and gun charges. Although, reportedly, the charges are being dropped, authorities had reason enough to detain this person for more than two weeks. Was it a misunderstanding, mistake, or other explainable issue? Maybe, but I find that gun charges usually stem from breaking gun laws…period. So what does this mean for us law abiding preppers? Well more of those strange looks and comments about being rednecks holed up in the woods with more canned beans and bullets than brains. Preppers may once again have to hide their […]
