• * Survival Manual - A little light but a good enough primer on what to do in emergency situations, focusing on the basics of shelters, heat, and water. I recommended getting SAS Survival Handbook: The Ultimate Guide to Surviving Anywhere and reading through it occasionally.
• * First Aid Supplies - contains several band-aid sizes, disinfecting wipes, and a sterile pad
• * Light and Fire Making - has two "Firesticks" that will light easily to be used as tinder to start a larger fire, a pack of regular matches in a ziplock bag, a small emergency candle, and a 12-hour glowstick
• * Comfort Items - a silver emergency "space" blanket (really a necessity, both for keeping warm and as a signaling aid) and a plastic poncho * Signaling Devices - Small plastic mirror of decent quality, a very cheap plastic whistle (really should be replaced), orange trail tape, and the silver blanket (mentioned above)
